To address the energy crisis, the government has taken a series of emergency measures that expire on 31.12.2023. Upon their expiration, based on the legislation of the State, each Supplier will establish a Special Electricity Supply Tariff for Low Voltage Customers per category of use, to which all Customers will obligatorily switch as of 01.01.2024.
This means that as of 01.01.2024 Customers will be billed based on the Special Tariff to which they will switch, as determined by the Supplier.
In order to provide accurate information to customers, from 01.01.2024 the Final Supply Price for each month will be announced in advance, by the 1st day of the month, on this website.
More detailed information on how tariffs will be determined as of 01.01.2024 can be found below, in the form of questions/answers.
As of January 1st, 2024, the new electricity supply tariffs for low-voltage consumers will be applied. Among the available tariffs, a Special Tariff is to be determined by the State, in which customers will automatically be included on 1 January 2024 (default tariff).
Customers who have already concluded a fixed-term period contract for a fixed-rate product will not automatically switch to the Special Tariff, for as long as their contract is in force.
Customers have the right to object and not switch to the Special Tariff until 31 January 2024. This means that customers can choose to stay on the tariff they already have or any other tariff they wish among those available.
Four distinct Electricity Product categories are established by the State, to be offered by all suppliers without exception.
Fixed-rate Products with blue label and fixed supply price (€/kWh) throughout the duration of the contract period.
Variable-rate Products with yellow label, which will include electricity products with variable supply pricing (€/kWh) varying based on the fluctuations in the wholesale electricity market.
Dynamic-rate Products with orange label, which will include tariffs varying based on the electricity wholesale market prices within a single day. These tariffs are available on the condition that the customer has a smart meter installed.
Special Tariff with green label, the Final Price of which will be announced by the supplier by the first day of the month of application, i.e. customers will know by the 1st day of each month the price they will pay for the respective month of consumption. All customers will switch automatically to the Special Tariff (default tariff) on January 1st, 2024.

According to the new legislation passed by the State and aiming at ensuring the smooth transition of the market, all Suppliers are required to create a Special Tariff, to which all customers will switch as of 01.01.2024. Customers will be informed in detail by letter to be sent by the Supplier with whom they currently have a supply contract.
No, it is not mandatory. In case you decide that you do not want to stay on the Special Tariff you have the right to object and select the product that best suits your needs.
Call us at 800-500-7000 or visit a PPC Branch from 01.12.2023 to 31.01.2024 to state your objection to switching to the Special Tariff. In case you do not wish to switch to the Special Tariff you have the right to either stay on your current product or choose a new electricity supply product.
In any case, you will be informed of the conditions applied to the product that you will select.
The Supply Charge for the above products will result from a fixed component (Basic Supply Price) and a variable component (Fluctuation Mechanism) and will be reflected in the electricity bill as a single price (Final Supply Price). The final price of each month will be posted on our website www.dei.gr by the 1st day of each month of consumption and will be accompanied by a detailed file with information on how to verify the price.
In particular, in the Special Tariffs, the charges consist of:
- The monthly fee
- The Final Supply Charge, which will include the Basic Supply Charge and the Fluctuation Mechanism
The Special Terms, which were applicable and valid on 01.12.2024, will continue to apply beginning 01.01.2025.
Suppliers are required to display in a uniform manner the Final Supply Price per billing month on the electricity bills included in the Special Tariff.
- Basic Supply Charge: The Basic Supply Charge remains stable for at least six (6) months before it can be changed. Customers will be notified two (2) months in advance of any changes through personalized alerts and the PPC website.
- Fixed fee: The monthly fixed fee may vary from month to month. Customers will be notified on the 1st day of the month of consumption via an announcement on the PPC website, as well as a notice on the first electricity bill issued following the change.
- Discount on the Basic Supply Charge: The discount may vary from month to month. Customers will be notified on the 1st day of the month of consumption via an announcement on the PPC website, as well as a notice on the first electricity bill issued following the change.
- Fluctuation Mechanism parameters (Fluctuation Factors and Limits): The Fluctuation Mechanism parameters remain stable for at least three (3) months. Customers will be notified one (1) month before the new parameters are implemented via an announcement on the PPC website, as well as a notice on the first electricity bill issued following the change.
