Answers about energy

How are the charges of the Special Tariff Γ1/Γ1N Home shaped by the new reality as of 01.01.2024?

The Supply Charge will result from a fixed component (Basic Supply Price) and a variable component (Fluctuation Mechanism) and will be reflected in the electricity bill as a single price (Final Supply Price). The final price of each month will be posted on our website www.dei.gr by the 1st day of each month of consumption and will be accompanied by a detailed file with information on how to verify the price.

In particular, in the Special Tariffs the charges consist of:

  • The monthly fee
  • The Final Supply Charge, which will include the Basic Supply Charge and the Fluctuation Mechanism

How will the supply charge be reflected on the Special Supply Tariff electricity bills?

Suppliers are required to indicate the final supply price uniformly per month of invoicing in consumption bills relating to the Special Tariff.

What applies from 01.01.2025?

FAQs

What is the timetable of the dual-rate reduced tariff system?

HEDNO defines the timeframe for the dual-rate reduced tariff system.

Winter period from November till March, as of 01.02.2025:

  • Day zone: 12:00 - 15:00
  • Night zone: 02:00 - 05:00

Summer period from April till October:

  • Day zone: 11:00 - 15:00
  • Night zone: 02:00 - 04:00

Residential supplies with a dual-rate meter automatically transitioned to the new timetable on 01.02.2025. The sole exclusions are supplies that, due to HEDNO technical reasons, cannot be automatically changed to the new zones and must continue to operate under the old schedule, applied before 01.02.2025. These customers are notified individually by a letter included in their bill (the first one they will receive after 01.02.2025), and they can submit a request to HEDNO to be included in the new schedule.

Customers can address HEDNO about whether they have switched to the new dual-rate schedule in the following ways:

What do I have to do to apply for a dual-rate meter?

In case you wish to apply for a Night meter, you need to:

1. contact HEDNO to submit the relevant application

2. contact us to sign a new contract under your name.

How can I find out the dual-rate timetable for my property?

You can find out if you have a segmented or continuous timetable by checking the supply meter. Specifically, if your meter registers consumption on the counter with the M indication (reduced tariff) or on the counter with the K indication (regular tariff) during the Reduced charge period.

To determine whether you are integrated into the continuous or segmented timetable, you can address HEDNO.

I am a new user (tenant/owner) of property; how can I get informed of the dual-rate tariff and its timetable?

A) By checking your bill:
On the back page of the bill appears "PPC Supply ". On the back page of the Actual bill, in the section "PPC Supply Charges", "Energy Charge - Regular" and "Energy Charge - Reduced" are displayed separately and directly below the charges and consumption quantities per zone.On the top left side, you will find in detail the readings of your meter, while in CODE 12 you will find your reduced charge period consumption.

B) By checking your supply meter:
You can check whether you have a dual-rate meter; in other words, whether there are two counters on your meter. One marked K and one marked M. Then, when the night tariff applies, whether your meter registers the consumption on the counter marked M.

C) By checking the distribution board at your home
In several cases there is an indicator light on the distribution board of your home which is connected to the additional service conductor.
